Our J.A.M. and Y.R.O.C. groups meet weekly on Wednesdays during the school year. Each session is filled with games and recreation, bible study and dinner fellowship time. There is at least once a month fun events off property for fellowship building. Youth also have the opportunity to either sing with the J.A.M. singers or play with the youth praise band.
The youth meet in small groups for Bible study, and Providence is blessed to have some very committed leaders who dedicate themselves to our youth ministry programs. The Christian adult and peer relationships fostered through our programs are extremely important in the life of a teenager.
J.A.M. and Y.R.O.C. youth also participate in youth service days and mission trips during the year. Service to others is an important part of our ministry - local and away. We have various fundraisers throughout the year to help fund our trips and programs.
This summer our middle school group participated in a mission trip to Jacksonville, Florida. They had the opportunity to host a VBS for children in low- income housing areas, along with performing service activities in the area. Our high school group attended Cornerstone Music Festival, and also participated in two mission trips with Adventures in Mission to Puerto Rico and Atlanta, GA.
