 Phil Smith
Buildings & Grounds
philsdock@roadrunner.com

I have been blessed to live two thirds of my 46 years on Hilton Head, the last 11 of those with my beautiful wife, Kim. We have two children, Luke Fisher, 10, and Morgan, 6. I also have a wonderful 22 year old daughter Athena who, like me, works in the yachting industry. Coming from a broken home, Christ had a seat next to me always, but without any Christian guidance I was quick to push myself away from Him. Trouble was around every corner and without God’s grace I would not be here today. My faith has grown through love. Love of God, family and church. With your help I remain humbly committed to serve Christ and His body.

 Maggie Taylor
Worship & Music
hhimaggibil@roadrunner.com

Following my adult children and grandchildren, I, along with my husband, Bill, moved to Hilton Head January 2, 1998, leaving behind many cold winters of Naperville, Illinois. Not only was I surrounded by the beauty of this Island but the love and presence of my family. In searching for a church home, it did not take long to realize that Providence would fill that void. Volunteering in the Church office began my service to Providence, while helping to organize the Stephen Ministry program began a new faith journey for me. It was time to “step outside of my box” and stretch -- see where God would lead me. I became involved in various ministries: Contemplative Prayer, Mary/Martha Circle, the organizing of Stephen Ministry and becoming one of its first Leaders, a Deacon in charge of Fellowship, the Beth Moore Bible studies, involved with the Pictorial Directory for a second time, the Funeral Committee and serving on Worship and Music. It is an honor and privilege to have been asked and to serve as an Elder for Providence. I continue to feel the Lord leading me and will pray for His daily guidance. I know that I am truly blessed to be a part of the Providence family.
