At Providence, we not only minister to one another but also reach out in Christ’s loving mission locally, nationally, and internationally. Jesus calls us to share his Good News, to partner with the work of His larger Church, and through real and practical ways to love our neighbors who are in need and, otherwise, would be without hope – in our own community, in our region, in our nation, and “to the ends of the earth.” Our Missions Committee helps lead and coordinate Providence’s mission outreach – keeping the congregation informed of mission needs and opportunities, and encouraging our involvement in Christian mission ministry. The committee stays in close communication with, prays for, and reviews the ongoing integrity and effectiveness of the missionaries and mission organizations we support. In addition, the Mission Committee adheres to Providence’s core values, as we are: Christ-centered in evangelism; Biblically faithful, grace-based and prayerful in leadership and decision-making; Joyful and spirit-led in giving and serving; Loving, nurturing and welcoming; Loyal to God, Providence, and one another; and, of course, Passionate about mission.
