Honors and Memorials
Some members (or non-members or family members) donate a financial sum to honor a living person for an anniversary or a special birthday or for some extraordinary accomplishment. If a member dies, donations in that person’s name may be given for a specific ministry or mission or let the church and Memorial and Honors Committee decide how to use the collected funds. Honors and Memorials maintains a wish list of projects that will benefit Providence, and may contribute funds to those projects as the sponsors, donors and committee decide.  Many wonderful improvements to our campus happen just this way.  Providence guidelines are that there are no plaques or signs, but rather all gifts are recognized by calligraphy in the red book, which is on display in the narthex.
