Portia and her two sons, Weston and Troupe moved to Hilton Head Island in 2009. Days after arriving she and her family attended church at Providence and knew instantly they had found their new church home. Portia has had a varied career to include training horses and their riders, to magazine publishing; but now, as Director of Children's Ministry, she feels she has found her true calling. Her mission and that of Children's Ministry is to enrich the lives of children by connecting them to Christ through worship, fellowship, outreach and discipleship.
